# PNCP got dozens of new filters and spreadsheet export: how suppliers can use them to price bids better

PNCP notice 09/26 scheduled for 30 September a new search with filters by supplier, company size, awarded unit price and discount rate, plus CSV, XLSX and HTML export. Here is what that gives you before your next bid.

## What PNCP announced

On 28 September 2026 Brazil's National Public Procurement Portal (PNCP) published notice 09/26. It set a downtime window from 6 pm on 29 September to 8 am on 30 September to update the search system and listed the new filters: 9 for tender notices, 14 for procurements, 14 for items and 22 for item results.

The same notice says result lists can now be exported as CSV, XLSX and printable HTML. Before, comparing results meant copying screen by screen.

## The filters that matter to sellers

For suppliers, the gain is less in open tenders and more in awarded results. That is where you see who won, at what price and with what discount.

- Awarded unit price (min and max): the price the agency actually accepted for the item, a better benchmark than the estimate.
- Discount rate (min and max): how much competition usually cuts the price for that kind of item.
- Company size and city of the supplier or winner: whether small businesses in your region are winning these buys.
- Use of preference margin and tie-break criteria: when a legal benefit decided the result.
- Sources/platforms and bidding modes: which procurement portal it came from and whether it was open, closed or a direct purchase.

## A short routine for your next bid

Before pricing, filter results for the same item over recent months, export to a spreadsheet and look at the awarded unit price range. Compare it with your cost. If the range is below what you can deliver, another item or region may be a better target.

PNCP data is the responsibility of each contracting agency, as the portal itself states. Check the tender and the price record before relying on a number, and keep the query date.

## What search does not do for you

The new search answers when you go to it. It does not tell you when a new tender with your item is published. For direct purchases and short pregão deadlines, a few days' delay can mean missing the bid.
