EditalMD search gets the government level filter
Since 30 October 2026, the EditalMD search and alert filter the tender by the government level of the body: federal, state, Federal District or municipal. See how to use it, where the level comes from and the limits.

What changed
In the EditalMD search, the Government level shortcut opens a window with four options: federal, state, Federal District and municipal. Select one or more. The list shows only the tenders by bodies of those levels.
The alert has the same filter, in the Filters tab. An alert created from the search comes with the selected level.
What it is for
A company that sells to the federal government can see only the federal purchases. A company that serves city halls can see only the municipal ones. To remove the filter, tap the x on the level tag, below the search.
Where the level comes from
On PNCP, each procurement has the body with the esferaId field: F for federal, E for state, M for municipal and D for the Federal District. EditalMD filters by this field.
In numbers, on 30 October 2026
- 37,285 PNCP tenders were receiving proposals.
- 26,844 were by municipal bodies: more than 7 in 10.
- 5,277 were by state bodies, 3,218 by federal bodies and 79 by the Federal District.
- 1,867 were by state companies and consortia that PNCP does not place in a level.
Limits
- The filter applies to the Tenders tab and to the alert. The Outside PNCP tab does not have the level of the body, and an alert with a level does not get those tenders.
- State companies and consortia that PNCP does not place in a level, such as EBSERH, appear only without the filter.
- In the API and MCP, use filtros={"esferas":["F"]}, with F, E, D or M.
