What the Canal do Fornecedor is

Sebrae (the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service) is an autonomous social service with a private legal nature. It buys under its own rules, the Procurement and Contracts Regulation of the Sebrae System. The version in force since 1 May 2026 is CDN Resolution 641/2026, from the Sebrae National Deliberative Council.

The Canal do Fornecedor is the Sebrae procurement portal. Sebrae Nacional and the state units publish their tenders on it. Each tender has a public page with the tender files, such as the call for bids. The list of tenders in progress is also public.

In the EditalMD data, 15 of the 28 Sebrae units had purchases on the National Public Procurement Portal (PNCP) on 28 October 2026: 1,177 purchases, from 2024 to 2026.

What EditalMD does with this data

  • It reads the list of tenders in progress from the Canal do Fornecedor every 6 hours. It keeps the tenders from 2025 and 2026. It records only what changed.
  • It links the tender to the PNCP purchase when the CNPJ of the unit, the year, the modality and the number are the same. When the number is different, it links the tender if its object is the same as the object of only one purchase of the unit. This way, the same purchase does not show twice.
  • It shows in the Outside PNCP tab the tenders that did not link to a purchase on PNCP.
  • It sends the new tenders with an opening session today or later in email and webhook alerts.

How many there are

On 28 October 2026, EditalMD had 299 Sebrae tenders in progress: 52 from 2025 and 247 from 2026. Of these, 54 linked to a purchase on PNCP. The other 245 had no matching purchase on PNCP. They come from 27 Sebrae units, one in each state and in the Federal District. EditalMD made the count from the Canal do Fornecedor list.

The most common modalities among the 245:

  • 100 online reverse auctions (pregão eletrônico).
  • 49 online reverse auctions for price registration (pregão eletrônico com registro de preços).
  • 28 accreditations (credenciamento).
  • 19 in-person reverse auctions (pregão presencial).
  • 16 competitive tenders (concorrência).

How to search on EditalMD

  • Search by the object, for example eventos (events), and open the Outside PNCP tab. It is next to Planned purchases.
  • With the Open only filter, the tab shows only the tenders that open today or later. Without the filter, it shows all the tenders that are still in progress on the Canal do Fornecedor.
  • Each tender shows the Sebrae unit, the city of the unit, the object, the opening date, the modality and the number.
  • The View at Sebrae button opens the tender page on the Canal do Fornecedor, with the files, such as the call for bids.
  • Systems and AI agents get the same data from the API (GET /api/estaduais?q=eventos&abertas=1) and from the MCP tool tenders_outside_pncp.

Limits

  • Today the tab covers Rio Grande do Sul, Pernambuco and Sebrae.
  • The Canal do Fornecedor list does not give the estimated value or the winner. The tab shows these tenders without a value.
  • Of the 245 tenders outside PNCP, 209 were past their opening date and were still in progress on the portal. To see only the tenders that have not opened yet, use the Open only filter.
  • Another 10 had no opening date: 7 accreditations and 3 tenders postponed without a new date. Alerts do not send these tenders.
  • The city is the city of the Sebrae unit office, not the place of the service.
  • The list also had 32 tenders from 2024 or earlier still in progress, 13 of them from 2015. EditalMD does not show these tenders.
  • If the unit used a different number and a different object on PNCP, the same purchase can show in both tabs.
  • The search shows the 20 tenders that are most relevant to the terms.
