Prospera MEI and Contrata+Brasil: a regular MEI gets into public buys more easily

The Prospera MEI FAQ ties fiscal regularity to credit and Contrata+Brasil public buys. While Active Debt forgiveness waits on Congress, the practical path for MEIs selling to government remains registration, SICAF and PNCP notices.

What the package means for government sellers

Prospera MEI, announced on 13 Oct 2026, covers tax-debt forgiveness (still a bill), bank renegotiation, PixMEI and a higher revenue cap. The official FAQ also links keeping the monthly DAS current to credit and to public purchases via Contrata+Brasil.

So even before any amnesty, an active MEI with a valid registration remains the prerequisite to show up as a supplier on service demands and small buys.

Contrata+Brasil in practice

Contrata+Brasil lists service opportunities for MEIs; you need a gov.br account, an active MEI CNPJ and SICAF. Per-demand caps and activity lists change over time; the operational path is watching notices with qualification ready.

  • Keep a gov.br account and an active MEI CNPJ.
  • Keep SICAF validated: notices require tax and labor regularity.
  • Watch PNCP and Contrata+Brasil by the words of your service, not only agency names.
  • Invoices to public bodies remain mandatory, even with the decree that drops NF for consumers.

How EditalMD helps now

While the forgiveness bill moves through Congress, the commercial window for MEI suppliers is today: find the demand, read qualification rules and decide fast. Object alerts and Markdown editals shorten that read.
